India will face mighty Australia in their second match of the 2019 World Cup. With a good start against Afghanistan and West Indies, Australia are ready to face its opponents with enough confidence. On the other hand, India started their World Cup defeating South Africa by 6 wickets. Rohit Sharma secured a place of reliance in that match but another opener Shikhar Dhawan disappointed everyone with his performance. Even team India`s captain Virat Kohli could not play well as per expectations.

On the other hand, Australia got an easy victory against Afghanistan in their first match but had to face a tough competition against West Indies. But they managed to get the last smile in the end. For the last few years, India are showcasing their destructive form in the world cricket and holding the second position in ICC ODI rankings followed by England.

The significant event of this year is former World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni sets to retire after this World Cup. On the other hand, former Australia captain Steve Smith returned to the national squad after being banned due to match-fixing scandal. Both of them will be in the limelight of today’s match.

This former captain of Australia returns to the national squad after serving a year of expulsion. He is ready to prove himself again in this World Cup. When Aussies are having a tough time after losing 5 wickets with 79 runs against West Indies, he came to rescue the team and made a winning knock.

Smith has played 110 One Day Internationals and scored 3,522 runs with 8 centuries, 20 half-centuries. His highest score in 164.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni

He has played 342 ODIs so far and has scored 10,534 runs in 290 innings as a batsman. With an average over 50 and the strike rate of 87.50, Dhoni has had 10 ODI centuries with an unbeaten knock of 183 runs as the highest score.

His contributions behind the stumps may be more influencing. Dhoni has taken 314 catches and made 121 stumpings.

The match will take place at the famous Oval Stadium in England.
