Bangladesh will play the first-round matches of the 2020 T-20 World Cup in Hobart, Australia. The tournament will start on October 18th of 2020. International Cricket Council (ICC) has published fixtures of the 2020 T-20 World Cup today (January 29, 2019).
The first-round will be played in two different groups and the top two countries of each group will qualify for the Super-12. Eight top ranked teams of the ICC rankings (on December 31, 2018) will play the Super-12 directly.
Bangladesh will play in the group-B of the first round where three more qualifying teams will also compete. And Sri Lanka will compete in the group-A with other three qualifying teams for the ticket of the ‘Super-12.
The matches of the Super-12 round will start from October 24th, 2020. Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, and defending champions are in the group-1, whereas, Afghanistan, England, India, and South Africa have been slotted in the group-2.
The first semifinal of the 2020 T-20 World Cup will be held on November 11 at Sydney, and the second-semifinal will be held next day at Adelaide. The final will be held at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on November 15, 2020.
