BPL begins, Mashrafe eyes positive start

The sixth edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 is set to begin from Saturday at the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

In the first day of the tournament, two matches will be played at this stadium starting with defending champions Rangpur Riders taking on Chittagong Vikings and Dhaka Dynamites taking on Rajshahi Kings. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, the Rangpur Riders captain, said they are confident about a good start. Chittagong Vikings are also confident this time although they finished the last edition at the bottom of the points table.

Seven teams are participating in this tournament. There will be 46 matches in total and all the matches will be played in three different venues in Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet. However, all of the knock-out matches will take place in Dhaka.

Gazi TV and Maasranga TV will telecast the BPL matches live.
