India won final but BD won hearts
What a game of cricket! What a final match of the 2018 Asia Cup final! The match ended in the very last ball of the innings. Bangladesh is beaten by 3 wickets. India chased down the target of 223 after 50 overs with three wickets in hands. India is the Asia Cup champions once again. And Bangladesh`s dream has been shattered down again due to poor umpiring decisions that went in favor of India.
In the last over, India needed 6 runs with 3 wickets in hands which Bangladesh failed to protect.
Earlier, India won the toss and opted to bowl first. Bangladesh posted a total of 222 runs for the loss of all wickets in 48.3 overs. Liton Das, who was sent as the opener, delivered a fabulous knock for Bangladesh of 121 runs off just 117 balls. Though Liton Das played extremely well, no other Bangladeshi batsmen could really contribute much. The second top scorer for Bangladesh was Soumya Sarker who scored 22. Another opener Mehidy Hasan made 32 runs from 59 deliveries.
