The Spanish professional football league matches, from now on, can be watched live and free from the most popular social media platform, Facebook. Users from eight countries of South Asia, including Bangladesh will enjoy this privilege, according to an agreement released on Tuesday.
The Spanish league described this agreement with Facebook as a cutting edge in sports business. With this agreement, Facebook becomes the world`s first social network, which "opens a new era in broadcasting sporting events."
"The 380 matches of the Spanish first division will be available free of charge to Facebook users in eight countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Pakistan," the league said in a statement.
It is to be noted that La Liga has the great growth in Asia and so, the business magnets aspire to gain market in that region.
