Everything was in its place. The Brazilian footballer Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira, who can play as either a winger or attacking midfielder, was about to take the flight to Italy for medical tests before he officially joins AS Roma. His present club Bordeaux have also announced that they have reached an agreement with Roma. The deal only subjected to the signature of administrative documents.
Then came Barcelona with a higher bid in the very last minute, literally. Even the AS Roma fans were waiting at the airport to welcome Malcom but he`s now stuck in Bordeaux because of Barcelona’s higher bid.
Roma and Bordeaux reportedly agreed to a €36M fee for the Brazilian star. Barca trumped Roma’s bid by submitting a €41 fixed plus bonus offer.
AS Roma tweeted from their official account, `#ASRoma can confirm that the club has reached an agreement with FC Girondins de Bordeaux for the transfer of #Malcom, subject to the player completing medical and agreeing personal terms.`

Barcelona made several attempts to land Willian at Camp Nou before they changed their mind, but Chelsea remained adamant not to lose one of their key players. Malcom has great potential to be the world’s one of the best players, who is just 21 years old now.
