After recovering the high injury, midfielder Andres Iniesta has been included in Barcelona`s squad for the Sevilla match to be held tonight at 1.45 AM.
Andres Iniesta missed previous two matches following a thigh injury. After the recovery, he has been named in Barcelona`s squad ahead of Saturday`s home game against Sevilla in La Liga. The absence of the Barca captain in last two matches against Athletic Bilbao at La Liga and Olympiacos at the Champions’ League (CL) produced mixed results for Barcelona. Barca won against Athletic Bilbao 2-0 last week and they were held by Olympiacos in the CL competition with a goalless draw. The return of the captain will help Barca psychologically as there were doubts about this recovery before tonight’s match at Camp Nou.
However, the 18-member squad announcement published by Barca confirmed Iniesta will at least be available for selection, though Valverde is considering giving others a chance to make sure that the 33-year veteran gets more time to recover.
In the media conference, the Barca coach said "He [Iniesta] and [Lionel] Messi are extraordinary players that if they aren`t playing, you notice. If they`re not there you need to replace them somehow. If you can`t do so individually then you must do so tactically.”
The match will be telecasted tonight at 1.45 AM (November 05, 2017) on Sony Ten 2.
