Nigeria kits sold out

With less than two weeks to go until football`s biggest tournament World Cup begins its 2018 journey, fans are getting prepared to cheer on their national teams and Nigeria has something to talk about.

The bold and eye-catching jersey of the Africans is one of the most demanded by fans in London, where they played a friendly against England at Wembley and lost by 2-1, have overflowed the main store of Nike.

And not only that, on the internet both the first and the second kit were sold out in three minutes and there is no stock on the web as well.

According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the jersey that will be worn by the Super Eagles in Russia received three million pre-orders.

It has a price tag of around 70 euros and went on sale on May 29 last. Its design is inspired by the shirt that the country used in the World Cup in 1994 when it achieved its pinnacle, the ninth place.

The orders, according to the British press, came mostly from Nigerian emigrants and football fans who have been amazed by the bold design.

Nigeria is part of Group D of the World Cup along with Argentina, Iceland, and Croatia. Its debut will be on June 16 against the Croatian national team.
