Sri Lanka have set the target 339 for Bangladesh to win in the final test here in Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In the second innings, Sri Lankan score came to an end at 226. The highest scorer for Sri Lanka was Roshen Silva who remained unbeaten at 70. Like the first innings, Taijul Islam has taken 4 wickets in the second innings too. Mustafizur Rahaman got 3 wickets and Mehidy Hasan took 2 for 37 runs.
The target of 339 runs seems to be a very difficult task for Bangladesh considering the nature of the wicket. The wicket has been giving great assistance to the bowlers, especially to the spinners. And it is getting tougher on day 3 to bat on as we have seen on the second day that the wicket was turning much. Therefore, Bangladeshi batsmen must do something magical to save this match.
In the first innings Sri Lanka made 222. And Bangladesh were able to manage only 110 runs in their first innings. Sri Lanka took a healthy lead of 112 runs in their first innings, which has put Sri Lanka in an advantageous position in this test.
