Sri Lanka making a comeback as bowlers fail to shine

First Test: Day 2
Score: SL (1st innings)-187/1 after 48 overs 
Kusal 83*; Dhananjaya 104* 
Bangladesh 1st innings: 513 all out

Sri Lanka are making a great reply to Bangladesh as Sri Lanka have concluded the second day scoring 187 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket. Dhananjaya de Silva scored a magnificent century (104 not out) and Kusal Mendis remains unbeaten at 83. The only wicket Bangladesh have is of Dimuth Karunaratne who got a duck. Mehidy Hasan is the only wicket taker for the Bangladeshi side. 

Earlier, Bangladesh made 513 in their first innings of the first test match against Sri Lanka in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Sri Lanka have come back strongly on the second day with the ball. On the second day, Bangladesh added 138 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Skipper Mahmudullah remained unbeaten at 83. 

On the second, Mominul Haque departed early with the resumption of the play. Veteran spinner Herath took his wicket. Mominul Haque who was playing brilliantly on the first day started his batting on the second day. Though he was eyeing his first double century, he managed to score only 1 run on the second day. And he also missed the opportunity to surpass his previous best score of 181 in tests. 

For Sri Lanka Herath and Lakmal have taken 3 wickets each, and Sandakan has taken 2 wickets. Dilruwan Perera got 1 wicket. And one batsman of Bangladesh got run out. 

The third day of the match will resume tomorrow at 9.30 AM.
