Although Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal has had no such success in DUCSU election but they are happy with newly elected VP Nur. They are thinking that due to the reduction of power of Chhatra League, the students’ organization of the ruling party, may turn to be reactive again in the campus. And VP Nur has become their trump card to implement this opportunity.
Several sources said, after taking charge of the VP post, Nur has several meetings with many Chatra Dal leaders of hall parliaments. Chatra Dal said to Nur that they would stand beside Sadharon Chhatra Odhikar Songrokkhon Parishad in any movement to protect fair demands of the general students. They expressed their special support for VP`s decision to oust outsiders from the halls.
Chatra Dal leaders told Bangla Insider that the majority of those who are outsiders are mostly leaders of different levels of the ruling party’s students’ organization. If it is possible to evict the outsiders from the halls, Chatra Dal will benefit the most from that. According to the leaders of the Chatra Dal, the party has not managed to conduct organizational activities in the DU campus in the last few years. Because of which the party has been affected and they could not manage to attract the attention of the general students. But now they want to revive in the DU campus. And they will do it with the help of VP Nur. In a gathering at Madhur Canteen, Chatra Dal leaders confirmed their assistance to VP Nur on last Sunday.
Meanwhile, the university committee of Chatra Dal will start work on the formation of a new committee in different halls of Dhaka University from the next month. Then the council of DU branch will be formed. Many Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal leaders confirmed that they would demonstrate their strength and power in the campus with the leftist organizations. The organization`s leaders and activists are working with the aim of strengthening this students’ organization so that it can give a tough competition for the next DUCSU election.
