Dr. Kamal Hossain and Barrister Moudud Ahmed are two renowned lawyers cum politicians of the country. For many reasons, their affair of honor in the politics of Bangladesh is quite old. Throughout their life, they took positions different from one another. But today they are on the same side. The desire for power has brought them together.
After changing the party frequently, Moudud Ahmed finally docked at BNP where he became a standing committee member. On the other hand, Dr. Kamal Hossain left the politics of Awami League and formed his own party Gano Forum. It is Dr. Kamal who formed the national unity, and because of the desire for power, Dr. Kamal and Moudud Ahmed are at the same table.
But it was not long ago when Dr. Kamal and Moudud called each other by names. When the autocratic government of HM Ershad was toppled, Barrister Moudud Ahmed publicly called Dr. Kamal by names. In his book ‘Karagare Kemon Chilam 2007-2008’, Moudud called Dr. Kamal an `intellectual evil`.
However, the desire for power has changed both of them and swayed them to come under one umbrella.
