Modi-Imran exchange greetings at SCO
Narendra Modi and Imran Khan exchanged greetings for the first time after the fresh tensions between India and Pakistan escalated. Narendra Modi and Imran Khan exchange greetings on Friday evening in 9th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference in Bishkek. But initially, the two Prime Ministers were seen to avoid each other multiple times at the beginning of the conference.
 
Indian doctors hold a nationwide strike demanding safety
 
An attack on doctors in Kolkata created an outcry throughout India and a leading Indian doctors’ association called for a nationwide strike on Monday demanding better security at hospitals. West Bengal has been the worst hit by the strike after the mass resignation of the doctors leaving at least 13 big government hospitals affected. Besides, thousands of doctors of Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Bihar, and Assam have been laid up from their services on Friday. 
 
India`s unprecedented support to Israel
 
India`s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has voted against the Palestinian organization in the United Nations. He has also got Israel`s gratitude for this. This is the first time India has voted against Palestine.
 
Iran denies responsibility for tanker attack 
 
Tehran denies US claim of Iran`s involvement on two oil tankers attack in the Gulf of Oman. On Thursday, the Iranian rescue team safely evacuated the 44 crews of the two tankers after the fire broke out following explosions. US secretary of state Mike Pompeo blamed Iran for this incident.
 
Kenyan MP arrested for slapping female colleague
 
Kenyan MP Rashid Kassim has been arrested after being accused of assaulting his female colleague Fatuma Gedi for not giving money to his constituency.
