NZ plans to withdraw troops from Iraq

New Zealand`s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced on Monday that they would withdraw their troops from Iraq by next June. Currently, the country has a small contingent of 95 noncombat personnel at Taji Military Complex northwest of Baghdad. It will be reduced to 75 by July this year. The rest of the force will be brought back in June next year.

One killed after helicopter crashes on Manhattan skyscrapers

The pilot of a helicopter died after it crashed onto the roof of a 54-story building in Midtown Manhattan on Monday afternoon. No other casualty has been reported so far. The authority confirmed the incident appeared to be an accident, not an act of terrorism.

Article 356 may be issued in West Bengal

Article 356 of the Indian constitution may be imposed in West Bengal. It will bring the role of President in place of the state government. Due to the increase of violence in West Bengal after the Lok Sabha polls, the ruling BJP demanded the implementation of article 356.

Around 100 killed in riots in Mali

About 100 Malians have been killed in an overnight attack on an ethnic Dogon village, officials said. 19 people still remain missing.  The United Nations peacekeeping force has been deployed for air support to the region.

Canada plans to ban plastic from 2021

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the ban on the harmful single-use plastics as early as 2021. Referring to this as a global challenge, he said, "I very gladly announce that Canada will ban harmful plastic from 2021."

Indian toddler stuck in well for 110 hours pulled out dead

A nationwide outcry spread in India after two-year-old Indian boy Fatehveer Singh fell into the 110 feet deep well in Punjab on Thursday while playing. The rescuers managed to pull out his lifeless body on Tuesday.
