Turkey believes Khashoggi murdered

Turkish authorities suspect that eminent Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed in Saudi consulate in Istanbul. They also claimed that the body of this journalist, known as a critic of Saudi Arabia`s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is removed from the Consulate after the killing.

Khashoggi, a strong critic of the Saudi Government, has been disappeared on October 2 after entering Saudi Arabia`s consulate in Istanbul.

Meanwhile, on the day when Jamal Khashoggi disappears, 15 Saudi officials arrived in Turkey. Anadolu Agency report said that all 15 Saudi officials had already left Turkey.

On the other hand, the Saudi authorities denied the claim of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. Saudi consulate claims that Khashoggi left the consulate on the same day. But they failed to show proof of such claims, and because of this the Turkish authorities decided to conduct a detailed investigation. The Turkish ruling party has announced that they would unravel the mystery of the incident. The group says that this is a top-level sensitive issue for Turkey.

Meanwhile, international human rights organizations have urged Saudi Arabia to clarify the matter of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. At the same time, they urged Turkey to investigate the matter. Turkish authorities have already started a detailed investigation into the matter.

Human Rights Watch said that if Saudi Arabia held him without any confession, then his incommunicado would be considered as concealed.

Khashoggi wrote in the US press The Washington Post. In his writings, he used to strongly criticize the Saudi alliance`s anti-Qatar blockade. This investigative journalist and political commentator also criticized Saudi Arabia for its military invasion in Yemen.
