India deports Lord Carlile for ‘inappropriate visa’

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia`s British lawyer Lord Carlile has been deported from Dehli airport. He arrived at Dehli`s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 10 pm local time on Wednesday (July 11th). But the immigration authorities did not allow him to enter India and denied his visa.
Baron Alex Carlile, a member of the House of Lords, and also the BNP chief`s legal consultant was scheduled to hold a press conference on the political situation of Bangladesh at the Le Meridien Hotel in Delhi. Some senior BNP leaders and Khaleda Zia`s legal team were scheduled to join him. But due to not following the visa condition India has denied his visa.
Carlile wanted to hold a press conference in Bangladesh. But BNP has chosen Dehli as the venue as Lord Carlile had been denied entry to Bangladesh.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Government had reacted sharply to India on the visit of Lord Carlile to Delhi. Even after the Delhi Foreign Correspondents Club canceled his scheduled press conference on Friday, he wanted to hold a press conference in a five-star hotel in Delhi.
The British prosecutor believes that the case filed against Khaleda Zia is `arranged` and `politically motivated`. At the same time, he also believes that the evidence presented in the case of Khaleda Zia is not acceptable. And he wanted to explain these issues at the press conference.
