If the Singapore conference goes well, there is a possibility that the US President Donald Trump would invite North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to the White House. After the meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, Trump made this comment.
President Trump said that they have reached a possible agreement in order to end the Korean War. According to him, it is the simplest part of their discussion.
He also mentioned that the United States and their allies in that region want the complete disarmament of North Korea`s nuclear weapons. However, Trump knows that this requires `a long discussion`. It may not be possible to reach a goal in one meeting.
Trump has always put the `maximum pressure` to stop North Korea`s nuclear weapons project. But now he has stepped away from his previous attitude. In this context, he said, `We are now moving towards friendly talks`. But he also warned that he can still impose a lot of restrictions against North Korea.
President Trump also made it clear that if the Singaporean conference does not go well, he is `ready to come out`.
