A strong explosion of the Fuego volcano caused havoc in Guatemala as at least 192 people are missing and 75 are dead.
According to the National Forensic Institute, among the 75 only 23 bodies have been identified so far.
Sergio Cabañas, executive secretary of CONRED, said on Tuesday that he had the names and house addresses of the missing 192 names.
Sunday’s eruption has affected more than 1.7 million people, with more than 3,000 evacuated.
The increase in volcanic activity has caused panic in the town of Escuintla, located near the 3,776-meter high colossus and 35 km southwest of the capital. Its inhabitants quickly tried to leave the city driving cars and causing immense chaos and traffic.
