Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback is scheduled to pay a visit to Bangladesh between April 13-20 on a week-long visit where he will hold series of meetings including visiting the Rohingya camp, said the media note without confirming the specific date of his arrival.
He will discuss religious freedom with government officials, civil society representatives, and a range of leaders representing both majority and minority religious communities, says a media note issued by the US Department of State.
Sam Brownback was sworn in as Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom on February 1, 2018.
He served as Governor of Kansas from 2011 to 2018. Previously he served as a US Senator (1996-2011) and a U.S. Representative in the House of Representatives (1995-1996) from Kansas.
