United States President Donald Trump has greeted all the Bangalees living in different parts of the world including Bangladesh on the occasion of Bengali New Year. Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan said this greeting in a statement on behalf of the US President on Thursday (April 12th).
The Bengali New Year will start on Saturday (April 14th). The day is an astringent and carrier of thousand years of culture and heritage of Bangalees. The Bangalees will celebrate the day with many festivals, including the Mongol Shobhajatra.
On the eve of the Bengali New Year`s Eve, the greeting statement said, "On behalf of President Trump and the American people, I wish Bengalis everywhere a joyous new year. We commemorate this important day along with all those from Bangladesh, India and around the world who came together today to make the arrival of the new year."
In the statement, J. Sullivan said that Bangladeshi Americans are playing an important role in the US economy and culture. Besides he also wishes Bengalees a bright future ahead in this statement.
