The ongoing diplomatic feud between Russian and the United Kingdom is no longer confined to an English country town. It has spread all around the world and included allies of UK. As a result, Russia is becoming increasingly isolated over time. However, the rivalry is causing Russia a great damage who entreated the United Nations Security Council to arrange a special meeting on Thursday afternoon to discuss the issues.
Earlier, a month ago, Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned at their house in Salisbury. Since then the two superpowers of the world remained locked horns over who to blame.
UK Prime Minister Theresa May said that it was ‘highly likely’ that a Russian spy did this on Russian government’s command. However, Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, said Sergei Skripal could have been poisoned in Britain`s interests. He accused the West of ‘playing children`s games’.
