At least four people were injured when a female gunman attacked at the video-sharing site YouTube`s headquarters in California of United States. One of them is in critical condition. The suspected attacker has been killed in the incident. The incident happened on Tuesday (April 3rd), said international media.
YouTube owners company Google has confirmed the news. They said they started an investigation into the incident. The reason behind this attack is still unknown.
YouTube headquarters are located in San Bruno, California. About 1,700 workers work in this office. The video footage found from the scene shows that after listening to the sound of gunfire in San Bruno`s office, the workers started fleeing in different directions.
San Bruno`s Police Chief Ed Barberini said that the body of the suspected female attacker was recovered from the headquarters building. Her identity was not found. At a press conference, he said, `We think that the woman killed by the injuries caused by her own attack."
Meanwhile, the US media quoted law enforcement agencies as saying that the attacker was killed by police firing on the spot.
The injured were admitted to the local hospital. However, according to the hospital authorities, one of the four injured in the San Francisco General Hospital was in critical condition.
