A suicide bomb blast kills at least eight people including civilians in Libya. The attack was carried out on Friday (March 30th) near a barricade of security forces in Ajdabiya, 840 kilometers away from the country`s capital Tripoli, international media said.
General Fawzi All-Mansuri, the head of the local security forces, said that suicide blast carried out near the barricade of the security forces loyal to the country`s influential leader Khalifa Haftar.
The alleged terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) claimed the responsibility for the attack. At the beginning of this month, IS has operated similar suicide attacks in Ajdabiya.
It may be mentioned that after the killing of country`s powerful ruler Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, the United Nations-backed government came to the power of the country. But the condition of the country again became unstable after the battle of the power of the influential leader Khalifa Haftar with the country`s government started. And because of this chaotic situation over the past few years, the IS has increased its activities in the country.
