27 tourists killed in road accident in Indonesia

At least 27 people were killed and 18 others were injured when a bus falls down from the hill in Java province of Indonesia. The accident took place in Subang region of West Java province on Saturday. The country`s police confirmed the news to the international media.

According to eyewitnesses, after the collision with a motorcycle, the bus fell into a ditch by losing control. The bus had 40 passengers on board, all of whom were local tourists. Most of the passengers come from the southern Tangerang of Banten province. They were going to visit the thermal springs of Tangkuban Mountain.

Subang police chief Budhy Hendratno said that the identity of the casualties is still unknown. The investigation is going on to find out the real cause of the accident. It is assumed that the brake of the bus was broken, so it did not work in time.

Serious road accidents are common in Indonesia. In July, 10 people were killed in an accident while going from Bali to Java.
