Four Indian soldiers, including an officer, were killed and another was injured in the latest cross-border clashes in Indian-administered Kashmir. According to the Indian authority, the casualties occurred while the Pakistani troops violated ceasefire and opened fire in Rajouri district`s Bhimber Gali sector on Sunday (February 4) evening.
The Indian side alleged that Pakistani forces fired indiscriminate shoots on Indian border villages. At least 10 Indians were killed by the Pakistan firing in the last three days. Many civilian Indians were injured in these incidents. Officials ordered the closure of schools near the border for the next three days.
Responding to the firing of Pakistani troops, Indian soldiers are also reportedly counter-attacking.
Pakistani soldiers` firing increased after the speech of Indian Home Minister on Friday, `If Pakistanis fire a shot, and then they will give a reply with thousands of shots.’
Hostility between India and Pakistan has increased on the de facto border since the last month.
