After a long tiring day, it is very difficult to manage time for physical exercise. We also have lack of knowledge about the exercises that will be suitable to our body requirement. This makes physical exercise more difficult and tiresome sometimes. In the context of Bangladesh, the practice of physical exercises has not yet developed here as it has been maintained as part of daily activities abroad. A large section of the population still considers this as an excess practice. As a result, problems like obesity, tiredness, fatigue back pain, joint pain and various types of physical complications become the daily phenomena in this region. 

To make physical exercise regular in urban life, renowned celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala`s Body Image from Mumbai has been launched for the first time in Bangladesh by Bengal Wellbeing. The fifth franchise of this Pilates-based fitness studio was inaugurated by Yasmin Karachiwala herself and Bengal Wellbeing Managing Director, Ashfaria Khair, on 12 January this year.

Yasmin Karachiwala, a most popular celebrity fitness trainer in Bollywood with more than 25 years of experience in the fitness industry, is the founder and master instructor of the personal fitness studio Yasmin Karachiwala`s Body Image. Her immense popularity indulged her with big Bollywood celebrities like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, and Alia Bhatt.

Now let`s have a look at Pilates. What is it or where is its origin? It is a combined form of gymnastics, boxing, weight lifting, yoga, and wrestling. This new section of cardio exercise is now quite popular in different countries. During World War I, Joseph Pilates helped the injured soldiers recover again through various types of physical activity. It is believed that he is the founder of this exercise. Pilates exercises help to keep the spine straight. As well as it removes back pain and is also effective in body toning.

The fitness studio situated at the Innstar Limited building, Banani, has been equipped with specialized Pilates equipments and provide certified instructors. This fitness studio provides various instruments of Pilates, besides cardio exercises, free hand exercises are also available here. Experts prepare the appropriate diet charts for the customers here. Its biggest attraction is that there are six international quality trainers trained by Yasmin Karachiwala, who have experience over 5 to 10 years. Pilates studio of Dhaka remain open from 8 am to 11 pm. It will remain closed on Friday, but with the increase in customers it will remain open on Fridays also, the authority said.

In order to increase the quality of customer service and to make Bangladeshis interested in this new type of exercises, Karachiwala said, she will try to stay connected with this fitness center. She said to visit her franchises every few. There she teaches people, interacts with them and answers many questions of them.

Expressing her excitement on introducing Bangladeshi people with a new dimension of physical exercise Ashfaria Khair, Managing Director of Bengal Wellbeing said, "We hope that with Bengal Wellbeing we can help transform people’s desired health and body image to actual results through proper training and guidance." She also said, “Bengal Wellbeing also hopes that this initiative will create employment opportunities for the youth interested in health and physical activities in this sector.”
