Bengal Classical Music Fest ‘17 starts today

 

Bengal Foundation brings the 6th edition of the Bengal Classical Music Festival which is going to start from today. The five-day festival to be held at Abahani grounds of Dhanmondi for the first time is sure to draw attendees of all ages in thousands. The music fest will start at 7pm in the evening and continue till 5am in the morning.

There are a few things the attendees should keep in mind while going to the fest:

An important thing to note down is that this year the festival management authorities have not arranged for buses to drop down festival attendees in the early morning.

The pass (containing the barcode) must be presented every time when entering the venue during the 5 (five) day event. The pass cannot be printed at the venue. There will be no registration at the venue.

No venue registration facility is available as the online registration has already been closed.

Gates will be closed at 12 am. However, organizers may close the gate earlier if they see fit.

Children below the age of 12 are requested not to be brought in the fest.

Men are not allowed to take anything except a mobile phone, wallet and keys.

Women are not allowed to take purse larger than 8 inches by 4 inches.

No food or drink/water may be brought in from outside. Only water is available free of charge.

Cameras, tobacco, tobacco-related products, firearms, sharp objects, inflammable material, bottles, whistles and/or any sounding object, cans or similar objects will not be allowed to be taken into the venue.

Seats are limited and are on a first come, first served basis. The organizers reserve the right to change the seating arrangement. No seats can be reserved for anyone by keeping bags, shawls or other items.

Parking of personal vehicles is arranged at Government Physical Education College at Mohammadpur.
