‘Pragya Cultural Centre’, which is a theater troupe from Kolkata, staged Ujjwal Chattopadhyay’s drama ‘Nine Miles to Go’ at Selim Al Deen Muktamancho in Jahangirnagar University (JU).
The university is observing the fourth day of Bongo Milon Nattya Utshav. This festival has been organized by Jahangirnagar Theater. The quality of the cultural ceremony successfully drew a big crowd.
The drama tried to capture the life of Jatindranath Mukherjee who was known as ‘Bagha Jatin’ and his fighting strategy– how he formed the revolutionary organization and how they trained up.
Suman Saha played the protagonist while Samrat Roy, Argha Roy, Soumya Bhattacharjee, Shinjanbasu, Tanmoy Karmocar, Madhusudan Chatterjee, Arnab Mukhrejee, Aaishik Thakur, Dipankar Bose, Sukanta Pal, Savan Jana, Bela Ghosh, Sulakshanasaha, Nisha Halder and many others played important characters.
On 28 February, ‘Rahu Chandaler Har’ will be staged by Arshinagar Theater at Selim Al Deen Muktamancho.
