Avengers: Infinity War breaks all records

According to industry tracker Exhibitor Relations, Avengers: Infinity War earned 630 million US dollars worldwide in its first weekend of premier making it the highest figure in history. Needless to say, the movie is yet to be launched in China later.

It broke the record of The Fate of the Furious` $542m global opening weekend collection, a record set just a year ago in 2017.

In North America, the film made 250 million dollars collection in its premiere weekend, also breaking another historical record in that region.

The film, which tells the adventures of more than two dozen superheroes and a genocidal titan who wants to destroy half of the universe, has beaten the Star Wars: The Force Awakens` $248m collection in its opening weekend in 2015.

Avengers: Infinity War is the 19th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU. In it, Robert Downey Jr. returns wearing the suit of Iron Man to fight against the evil force along with his fellow superheroes. The leader of the evil force is, of course, the ruthless Thanos (Josh Brolin), who wants to destroy half of the universe ensuring that there will be a balance.

Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) accompany him on the adventure, in addition to Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Spiderman (Tom Holland) and the Guardians of the Galaxy, also in battle.
