A Jodhpur court has convicted Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the blackbuck poaching case. It took place in September 1998 while the actor was shooting for a movie.
Other actors who were accused in the case- Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, and Neelam Kothari- were acquitted as they were granted the benefit of the doubt.
According to law, if the Bollywood superstar gets less than three years of prison sentence, there is strong possibility that he will get bail from the Jodhpur court.
But, if the prison sentence is more than three years, then Salman Khan has to seek bail from sessions court.
The actor is accused of hunting two blackbucks which are prohibited under the Wildlife Protection Act. It happened when he was shooting in Jodhpur for the movie named Hum Saath Saath Hain.
