Barrister Rumeen Farhana, BNP`s international affairs co-secretary, has been sworn in at 12:00 pm (Sunday) from the quota of the reserved seat MP of the national parliament. Speaker of the parliament Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath-taking ceremony.
BNP nominated Rumeen Farhana elected unopposed in the reserved seat of the 11th national parliament on 28th May. She was declared elected unofficially since there was no other candidate in the reserved seat and the time limit for the withdrawal of candidacy had also expired.
