Awami League general secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has left Singapore for the country. A flight carrying him took off the Changi Airport of Singapore at 2:00 pm on Wednesday (May 15).
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Bridges Division Sheikh Walid Faiz confirmed that he would reach the country by evening. Obaidul Quader’s wife, director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Abu Nasir Rizvi and some party activists are accompanying him.
Quader was initially admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital on March 3 following massive heart attack. He was flown to Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital on the next day (May 4) for treatment, as his condition had deteriorated. On March 20, he underwent a bypass surgery. On April 5, he was released from hospital and moved to a rented house. He has been under follow-up treatment since then. Now, he has recovered well.
