The High Court has circulated a rule saying that teachers of government or private organizations cannot be involved in coaching businesses.
Today, the High Court Bench comprising Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Razik-Al-Jalil banned coaching for school and college teachers. Barrister M. Amir-ul Islam on behalf of writ petitioners and Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan from ACC were present in the court.
The court gave the order in a writ hearing to stop coaching businesses. The High Court said on the writ hearing that coaching business is the result of teaching failure in the classroom. The HC referred the coaching business as a new crime.
It is to be noted that even though the Education Ministry has issued a draft education act banning private tuition in 2012, the gazette was not been published until this year. On January 24, after six years the gazette has been published.
