Those cleared for polls

 

A total of 3,665 nomination aspirants submitted their nomination papers for the 11th parliamentary election. After verification, 786 nomination forms were rejected. As a result, the number of legitimate candidates stands at 2,779. From December 3 to 5, those who were rejected filed appeals to return their candidacy. 534 aspirants filed appeals among 786 aspirants whose nomination papers were rejected. The appeal hearing began from Thursday. Each day, from December 6 to 8, the hearing began at 10 am on the eleventh floor of the EC’s headquarters.

Those who have won their petition to the Election Commission to review their nomination applications for the parliamentary polls:

4) Dhaka-20: Tamizuddin

5) Dhaka-1: Abu Ashfaq

6) Jamalpur-4: Faridul Kabir Talukder Shamim

7) Patuakhali-1: Sumon Sanyamat

8) Madaripur-1: Jahirul Islam Mintu

9) Jhenaidah-2: Abdul Majid

10) Sylhet-3: Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury

11) Joypurhat-1: Bazlur Rahman

12) Pawana-3: Hasadul Islam

13) Satkhira-2: Md. Afsar Ali

14) Brahmanbaria-6: Jasmine Noor Baby

15) Gazipur-2 Md. Zainal Abedin, Md. Mahbub Alam

16) Khulna-6: SM Shafiqul Alam Mona

17) Sirajganj 3: Md. Anaal Haque

18) Rangpur 4: Mustafa Selim Bengal

19) Manikganj 2: Abidur Rahman Roman

20) Habiganj 1: Jubair Ahmed
