Ahead of the 11th national election, hundreds of leave applications are piling up in the Secretariat. The Ministry of Public Administration has decided not to give any long-term leave to any government officer except in emergency cases.
According to sources, the polls-time government will be formed at the end of this month. There is a possibility that the 11th parliamentary election will be at the end of December or at the beginning of January.
When the election is near, the bureaucrats of the country are submitting applications to receive training programs abroad. Such leave is called ex-Bangladesh leave.
The bureaucrats fear there might be a change in power. Therefore, they want to save themselves from any kind of future allegations. They want to return to the country on after January or in February.
