Photographer Shahidul Alam apologized and acknowledged the spreading of false information against the country. According to the Detective Branch of police, he has admitted the above information during the interrogation on remand.
Today, DB official Moshiur Rahman said to the media, "Shahidul Alam tried to divert the students’ movement through publishing false information on Facebook live. He apologized after accepting the matter in the remand."
According to the court order, Shahidul Alam was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) yesterday (Wednesday) for treatment. After various health checkups, he was again taken to the DB office.
Photographer Shahidul Alam was arrested from his residence on Sunday (August 05) night. On Monday, he was sued under Section 57 of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.
Then he has been presented before the court and appealed for 10 days remand. However, the court granted him a 7-day remand.
