After undergoing a medical check-up, President Abdul Hamid has returned home from London on Thursday (July 19). He landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday at 11:15 am.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carried the president, said President’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad.
Earlier, on July 7, the president went to London on a 12-day trip for his health check-up. He had health checkup at Bupa Cromwell Hospital and treatment of eyes at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
The President was received by Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, dean of diplomatic corps and ambassador of Vatican to Bangladesh, British High Commissioner in Dhaka, chiefs of the three services, inspector general of police (IGP) and high civil and military officials at the VVIP Lounge of the airport.
