Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that there is no alternative to creating an educated nation to free the country from poverty.
She said this while addressing a function where she was handed over a copy of results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations at Gonobhaban around 11 pm on Thursday (July 19).
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over a copy of results of eight general education boards, madrasa and technical education board to the Prime Minister. Then the chairman of the concerned board handed over the results of their respective board to the prime minister.
Under the arrangement of Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Nazibur Rahman, State Minister for Education Kazi Keramot Ali, Education Division Secretary Md Sohrab Hossain and other senior officials.
Before the minister, state minister and officials spoke, the prime minister published results in a digital system. The education minister then summarized the results.
The prime minister congratulated the students passed the exam in her speech and said that the government has taken all steps for the development of education. Because to create a poverty-free and developed country, there is no alternative to building a nation of educated people.
In the last few years, there were allegations of question leak in the public examinations, but this time the examination ended without such incidents.
She said that with the improvement of technology, people began to misuse it worldwide and the question leak was possible only because of this. However, for taking proper steps, this government has successfully curbed question leak this year.
