The BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been offered medical treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH). This proposal of Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has been apprised to Begum Zia by the prison authorities.

When asked about the CMH Hospital located in Dhaka Cantonment, the former Director General of the DGHS, Dr. Deen Mohammad Nurul Hoque said that all the modern services are available in CMH. CMH service standard is better than that of United Hospital.

The Inspector General prison Syed Iftekhar Uddin was talking about taking Begum Zia to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital for medical treatment for the last two days. But in two days, Begum Zia declined to go to BSMMU. She wants to go to United Hospital. Finally, the IG Prison confirmed today (Tuesday) that Begum Zia did not want to go to BSMMU.

The IG Prison told reporters that the action will be taken according to the prison rules whether Khaleda Zia will be taken to United Hospital. After this, the proposal of taking Begum Zia to CMH came forward.
