A six-member BNP delegation, led by BNP standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, sat in a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda on Tuesday morning ahead of the city corporation elections of Khulna and Gazipur city. The meeting began around 11 am at the Nirbachan Bhaban.
Beside Khandaker leading the delegation, other members included standing committee members Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, and vice-chairman Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf.
Source in BNP said the BNP team is meeting with CEC to put forward its recommendations and demands before the EC to ensure the city corporation elections to be free and fair. The team is also expected to share their views on the general election of the country.
As expected, BNP will demand army deployment in the two city polls.
