After staying over three months in London for medical purposes, the Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Begum Khaleda Zia is scheduled to arrive Dhaka today evening at 5 to 6 pm.
It has been reported that she arrived in Dubai today morning at 8 am taking an Emirates flight, so her arrival in the country is only a matter of a few hours now.
Her son Tarique Rahman who is the current Senior Vice Chairman of BNP went to the Heathrow Airport along with his family members and some local BNP leaders to say goodbye to her mother and the party Chairperson.
Before leaving London, Khaleda said to the party leaders and activists, “We’re going to have a difficult time in coming days. So, be prepared to take a hard-line stance against the imperious government. We can no longer allow any election under the government of Sheikh Hasina.”
She also said to her party activists that she does not fear the arrest of the government and she is confident enough that it will fall very soon. Meanwhile, the party leaders are apprehensive about the arrest of their party chairperson since three different courts have issued arrest against their party leader.
