The renowned science fiction author, physicist, professor and activist Muhammed Zafar Iqbal has said that he is not angry at those who attacked him, rather he takes pity on them.
On Wednesday morning, before leaving the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka after getting the release, the Professor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology told this.
He also said that those who are involved with militancy may someday come to their senses. He no longer holds any complaint or grudges against anybody and he is in good health now. However, he has to return to Dhaka for the follow-up on March 18.
Earlier, on March 3, a youth named Foyzur Rahman Faizul attacked the prominent professor at a program organized by the Shahjalal University’s Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Sylhet. Since then he was undergoing treatment at the city’s CMH hospital. Faizul attacked him because he viewed him as `an enemy of Islam`.
