Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep condolences over the deaths of the Bangladeshi passengers in the US-Bangla passenger plane crash in Nepal. The moment she heard the news, she decided to return to the country by shortening her tour in Singapore. It has been known that after returning to the country, the PM will announce National Mourning Day in memory of the victims of the plane crash.
On Sunday, Prime Minister went to Singapore on a four-day state tour. And on the very next day, she had to grieve for an unforeseen plane crash in Nepal where many Bangladeshi died or severely injured.
On Monday, the PM spoke with Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli, the PM of Nepal, over the phone. PM expressed deep condolence for the fatalities of many Nepalese citizens in the air crash and assured all kinds of support.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, with the opening of the Tribhuvan International Airport, she will send a rescue team to Nepal. She also said that in this case, Bangladesh will provide all necessary assistance to Nepal.
The incident took the life of around 50 people. At 2:20 pm on Monday afternoon, the BS-211 flight of US-Bangla was crashed while landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal.
