Today (Tuesday) Bangladesh and Singapore signed four Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) on ICT, trade, and investment. The MoUs were signed between the trade bodies and government agencies of two respective countries during the opening program of the Bangladesh-Singapore Business Forum 2018.
The signing ceremony was jointly organized by International Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Business Federation and Bangladesh Business Chamber of Singapore (BDCham) at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina witnessed the signing.
Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore) signed a deal on collaborative investment in Bangladesh. BIDA Executive Chairman Kazi Aminul Islam and Acting CEO of IE Singapore Kathy Lai signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.
ICT Division of Bangladesh and Institute of Systems Science of the National University of Singapore (NUS-ISS) signed a deal on the digital transformation of Bangladesh. ICT Division Secretary Subir Kishore Choudhury and NUS-ISS CEO Khoong Chan Meng signed the deal on behalf of their respective parties.
Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) signed a deal to improve the business relations between the two countries. FBCCI President Mohammad Shafiul Islam and SMF President Douglas Foo signed the deal.
The remaining MoU was signed Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Dhaka and SMF to strengthen business relations and promote economic cooperation.
MCCI President Nihad Kabir and SMF President Douglas Foo signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.
