Tarique Rahman was interrogated regarding his connection with the vandalism in Bangladesh Embassy at London on 7th February. Five officials of London police and Scotland Yard interrogated Tarique Rahman at his residence on Thursday. According to London Police sources, Tarique denied the allegations of his involvement in the attack at Bangladesh Embassy.
Tarique said that he does not know anyone among the arrested people who were accused of vandalism. However, Tarique said, `The incident is unexpected. It should not have happened. Whoever did it, it was wrong.` Tarique who is also a political asylee in London said, "The BNP’s London wing had already issued a statement of apology for the incident. I am also apologetic.’
Tarique was later asked about who planned the program to surround the embassy. Tarique replied that their program was to submit a memorandum only. The situation worsened when the officials at embassy misbehaved with BNP activists.
