‘Your lectures don’t attract audience any longer’

This is the first time since 2014 the government is not blocking BNP`s programs. The party who recently witnessed the imprisonment of their leader is hosting a number of programs. The senior leaders of the party also took to the streets as the law enforcement agencies are hardly seen to intervene any of the protest arrangements of BNP.

The leaders are delivering unruly lectures, and busy in meeting the party activists.  The constant presence of the senior leaders in the Gulshan BNP party office emaciated Ruhul Kabir Rizvi`s worth to some extent. On Tuesday the junior leaders and activists were seen gathering around Mirza Abbas and Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain while Rizvi was seen sitting in a far corner.

Suddenly Mirza Abbas offered Rizvi a cup of tea; Rizvi refused in a melancholy tone saying, `NO`. The Mirza Abbas asked, "Didn`t you give any lecture today? It makes you lose when we protest in the streets. Your lectures don’t attract the audience any longer."

Later with a light tone, Mirza Abbas laughingly said, "Listen Rizvi, the public wants action." Rizvi nodded to his comment and left.

Once Rizvi was `all-in`all` of BNP`s party office. The activists used to bring him all sorts of things. But now the activists don`t look upon him. The junior leaders have forgotten Rizvi in presence of the senior leaders. That is why Rizvi seems to be upset.
